This workshop will create a ritual container for participants to express feelings about the times we are in through words, sounds, movement or images. The room will be segmented into sections using objects to represent anger, fear, sorrow, love, hunger for what is missing and the unknown. All of these are held by hope and we will create a collective gathering of expressions.
The space will be held by Sarah Hinds who is an experienced workshop facilitator and the structure is based on Joanna Macy's Truth Mandala.
People are asked to arrive at the start and commit to staying for the whole workshop so as not to disrupt the process for others. You are welcome to leave if it doesn’t feel right for you but it’s not a drop-in workshop.
During the last 30 min of the workshop Sarah will respond to the words, sounds and images which arose from the workshop and the space (in her work she assumes the space has a voice as well as the humans) and create an improvised song/sounding.
