Join Elspeth Walker, writer and visual artist, for a creative workshop exploring ekphrastic writing.
Ekphrastic work is produced in relation or response to a visual artwork. Within this workshop you will learn a basic background of ekphrasis, explore how we read/look at artworks, and create your own written works in response to various art pieces. We will explore contemporary examples and traditional methods of responding to art, from poetry to prose. Tickets sold through eventbrite ond on the door and found through Instagram (@elspethkwriting) with concessions (£12) available.
All levels of entry welcomed, and materials provided but please bring a notebook if you want.
