Ben Leo Hollis brings his new book filled with photos and stories from the rainforests of Peru to Kentish Town!
In this short talk and book launch, he will share some of the colours, cultures and history of the Amazon and Andes, after a year spent working with an environmental conservation charity in and around the lowland regions of Madre de Dios and Loreto.
From collaborating with indigenous communities in remote river villages, to tasting the creamy aguaje palm fruit for the first time, and uncovering the lasting scars of the 19th-century guano trade — come to gain an insight into the beauty and complexity of Peru’s rainforests and cultures!
Talk will begin at 7.30pm
10% of book sales go to three charities: Cool Earth, Camfed and SARI.
