Poets from the floor welcome, no Icelandic sagas!
Louise Warren’s first collection A Child’s Last Picture of the Zoo won the Cinnamon Press debut poetry competition 2012. In the scullery with John Keats was also published by Cinnamon Press in 2016. John Dust was published in 2019 by V. Press. Sometime in a Churchyard, was published by Paekakariki Press in 2023.
This evening Louise will be reading poems from her new collection Poison published by Tuba Press.
Alan Price was born in Liverpool and now lives in London. He writes film and book reviews for the website London Grip. His poetry collections are Outfoxing Hyenas (Indigo Dreams), Angels at the Edge (Tuba Press), Wardrobe Blues for a Japanese Lady (The High Window Press), The Trio Confessions (The High Window Press), Mahler’s Hut (Original Plus), Restless Voices (Caparison) and Bewilderment (Martello Press).
Alan’s collection of film prose poems The Cinephile Poems (The High Window Press) received a special multimedia presentation at the BFI in 2024. A selection from this book was read at Torriano a few years back. His latest collection is Unknown Woman & Other Attachments and was published in 2024 by Caparison.
