Come and join us for the collaborative image description workshops that will form the audio-descriptions for Unseen and In Between. We are hosting two sessions, open to everybody, exploring imaginative and sensory ways of comprehending the artworks that will be displayed within the exhibition.
Unseen and In Between is an exhibition exploring experimental audio-description. Presenting audio guides crafted during workshop sessions, the show repositions audio-description from a secondary access concern into a valuable collaborative art form and sensory communication tool. Working across ceramics, sound, moving image, painting and sculpture, Unseen and In Between is excited to display work from artists Timothy Crowley, Chloe Farrell, Ciara O’Flaherty Neyomi Parikh and Yang Yang. All contributing artists have participated in the moulding of the descriptive audios, this multi-perspectival approach seeks to challenge the normative construction of audio-guides, that offer a singular way of understanding an object or artwork.
