Unseen and In Between is an exhibition exploring experimental audio-description. Presenting audio guides created during workshop sessions, the show repositions audio-description from a secondary access concern into a valuable collaborative art form and sensory communication tool.
Working across ceramics, sound, moving image, painting and sculpture, Unseen and In Between brings together work by artists Timothy Crowley, Chloe Farrell, Ciara O’Flaherty Neyomi Parikh and Yang Yang. All contributing artists have participated in the moulding of the descriptive audios, this multi-perspectival approach seeks to challenge the normal construction of audio-guides, that offer a singular way of understanding an object o r artwork.
