Opening event
The world is a giant mirror, and the dialogue with the external world always reflects on our internal life. The exhibition illustrates the process of the formation of artists’ self-identity by navigating gender, immigration, and intimacy, invites viewers to enter into their sentimental self-narrative, and to think with them about their relationship with the other and the world.
Work by Xinrui Qiu, Ruilin Fu, Yiming Pi, Anna Patarakina, Anne Marie Little, Chiahua Lee. Inspired by Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalytic theory exploring the complexities of self-identity through various artistic mediums, including installation, video, and performance.
